What is Hypnosis?

By using hypnosis you are able to put your brain in a state where change is more likely to occur.

In the state of hypnosis one is able to sooth the emotional part of the brain (the Limbic System ) and reduce the activity of the Amygdala. The area of the brain that is triggered when are survival is being threatened, commonly known as the fight flight freeze part of the brain. When this area is soothed we become less reactive and open to change.

Did you know that an impressive 95% of our behaviour is governed by our unconscious mind?  It's true! This powerful part of our mind operates automatically guiding our actions and thoughts without our conscious awareness.

With hypnotherapy, you can harness this incredible resource to create the changes you desire. Hypnosis is a natural state we experience daily—when you're absorbed in a movie or deeply focused on a book, for example.

Think of those times you've driven a familiar route and arrived at your destination without recalling every detail of the journey. That’s your mind in action!

During hypnosis, you will be fully awake. You’ll hear everything, maintain control, and will continue to have active thoughts. You can choose to lighten or end the experience at any time.

You’ll experience hypnosis in your first session. Research driven clinical hypnotherapy typically involves 3-6 sessions based on your unique needs.
